Star Tribune: Out of line at the Park Board meeting
When Park Board Commissioner Vivian Mason poses questions at board meetings, every citizen of Minneapolis should be interested in the answers.
Apparently simple questions like "How much does it cost?" are enough to throw Commissioner Walt Dziedzic into a rage. The Standards and Conduct Committee that cleared him ("Dziedzic cleared in Park Board meeting ruckus," Oct. 21), like every other Park Board committee, is stacked by the majority faction that spends more time devising ways to consolidate power than steward parks.
Dziedzic's behavior was wildly inappropriate and indeed threatening.
