Park Board To Sell Parade Ice Garden?

Is the Park Board going to sell the Parade Ice Garden to the Minnesota Wild? Here's what Patrick Reusse writes in the Star Tribune:

Patrick Reusse: Between the quotes

THE WILD has been holding its non-Xcel Center practices at Parade Ice Garden through its four-season history. The team and the facility's owner, the Minneapolis Park Board, had informal conversations in the past about the possibility of selling the arena to the Wild.

There was also some Park Board land on Hwy. 55 behind the airport that the Wild was considering as a location for a new practice facility. Now, Bob Naegele III (son of the owner) is building a skateboarding and BMX-type bike facility on that leased land.

That could renew conversations about Parade Ice Garden. "We might be interested [in selling]," said the Park Board's Walt Dziedzic.
