Attached are a Microsoft Word document and a plain text document, both with a full transcript of the 80-minute park board study session on the DeLaSalle stadium proposal held Feb. 1, 2006.
If you have the time and the paper, I suggest printing it out. It's 32 pages long, but there is a lot of interesting stuff in there. They discuss issues like constitutionality and cost and everything in between. You'll learn why DeLaSalle doesn't have a girls' football team, whether anyone camps on the parkland DeLaSalle wants, and what happened to the sign saying Nicollet Island is a regional park.
But what really makes this good reading is the hard-hitting questioning by the new park commissioners.
