It was a shame that Superintendent Gurban or at least Don Siggelkow, GM for Administration and also link to the parks foundation were not there. They missed the opportunity to pick the brains of some fine folks who work under similar conditions and have stories and strategies to share. Tupper Thomas, of Brooklyn's Prospect Park and Susan Rademacher of the Louisville, Kentucky parks have an almost identical role as GM Siggelkow with a foot in both camps. It was a great opportunity to mingle with those who are park enthusiasts and yet are thinking of ways to better parks without raising taxes.
