Park Watch Prediction
Park Watch predicts that when the Park Board votes May 5 on the controversial Crown Hydro long-term lease, the five member majority coalition will be voting for the lease. Why does Park Watch think this? Because at the April 7 Park Board meeting, the May 5 date was selected over the April 21 date because, according to Park Board President Jon Olson, "One of the commissioners, Bob Fine" could not be present at the April 21 meeting.
For the vote in favor of the lease to pass there must be six votes in favor. That means all five coalition members need to be present to vote. And there must be a swing vote from the minority for the sixth vote. Can the majority coalition muster up that sixth vote? A lot of people hope not.
Stay tuned.
