History Repeats Itself: Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission Unanimously Opposes New Delasalle Stadium Plan
The Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission voted unanimously March 20, 2007 to deny a Certificate of Appropriateness to DeLaSalle High School for a stadium on Nicollet Island. Before the vote, the commission changed and added some Findings of Fact to their decision. Several commissioners commented that they could not vote in favor of the plan because it would close and build upon an historic street.
