Supporters Of The Delasalle Stadium Lose Round One At The Met Council

The Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission voted down MPRB's request to remove 1.48 acres on Nicollet Island from the Regional Park system at today's meeting. After an hour of testimony from local and national organizations and citizens, the commission did not approve a proposed land exchange that would allow the football stadium to go forward. The issue will now go before the full Met Council on August 22nd for a final vote. Stay tuned.
